WHO WAS ST. VALENTINE ?
Nobody knows for sure, and there are several saints named Valentine. One St. Valentine was a priest and doctor. He lived in the city of Rome about 300 years after the birth of Jesus. The emperor of Rome refused to allow people to be married in a Christian ceremony. St. Valentine ignored the emperor. He continued to perform marriages in the Christian Way.
